Frequently Asked Questions

  • Simply pick a class that fits your schedule, book your spot online, and show up ready to dance. No experience necessary — Level 1 is designed for complete beginners. Just be sure to keep your booking receipt handy when checking in.

  • No partner needed! About 95% of our students come solo. Our classes have you rotate partners frequently so you'll have the opportunity to dance with many partners of different levels — which actually accelerates your learning.

  • We encourage all couples to rotate dance partners throughout the class. Dancing with a variety of partners helps you both improve much faster than staying together. Students who rotate consistently progress significantly quicker than those who don't.

  • Dress comfortably! Whatever works best for you, as long as it doesn’t restrict your movement. Shoes matter most. Look for something with a thin, flexible sole that stays securely on your foot. Avoid sandals, platform shoes, and rubber-soled sneakers as these will make dancing more difficult.

  • If you're new to dancing, start with a Beginner course. Most students spend about three monthly cycles here — each cycle building on the last. Those who practice between classes or add private lessons tend to progress noticeably faster.

If you've danced elsewhere, we recommend starting at Level 1 regardless of your previous experience. Every school uses a different system and understanding our foundations will help you get the most out of every class.

  • All Beginner Classes begin at the start of each month. You’re welcome to join in either the first or second week, but we strongly recommend starting early for the best progress. If you join later, we won’t turn you away— just keep in mind that an early start will get you the most out of this class. Be sure to arrive 15 minutes early to park, check in and settle in— so you can connect with your peers and start off strong!

"I never thought I'd be someone who dances. Now I leave every class feeling alive and can't imagine my week without it."
